For a business marking more than 60 years serving Irish fleets, independent recognition like this carries real weight. Mahony Fleet is Ireland’s leading independent vehicle leasing and fleet management provider, and a third-generation, family-owned company that’s part of the Denis Mahony Group. The way we operate today has been shaped by decades of relationships with customers and partners who expect us to do things properly. This medal is an external confirmation of that.
“We’re delighted to receive this recognition from EcoVadis,” said Stephen Mahony, Managing Director, Mahony Fleet. “This is the result of a lengthy and thorough process, and it reflects the day-to-day work of people right across the business. Sustainability is increasingly a deciding factor for the customers and partners we work with, and this gives them real confidence that we can deliver on their fleet sustainability needs.”
EcoVadis is one of the most widely recognised ratings of its kind, used by thousands of companies globally to assess and benchmark how suppliers and partners perform. It looks at four areas: the environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and how responsibly a company sources and procures. Each business is scored from 0 to 100 based on the policies it has in place, the actions it takes, and the results it can show.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR OUR CUSTOMERS
Many of our corporate customers now expect proof points like this as part of procurement and supplier due diligence. The Bronze medal strengthens our position when tendering for and retaining business, particularly among larger SME and corporate fleets, and sets us apart from competitors in the vehicle leasing and fleet management sector who haven’t yet gone through the process. It also aligns us more closely with the sustainability standards held by our international partner, Alphabet International, Europe’s third largest leasing company, for whom we’re the exclusive fleet partner in Ireland.
