Mahony Fleet’s EV Charger supplier, ePower, recently announced it has secured €16m in funding to support its expansion in the coming years.
The investment came from a mix of existing shareholders and new investors, including a fund managed by UK-based Impax Asset Management, a specialist in sustainable economy transitions.
ePower operates nationwide from offices in Dublin and Cork. The company employs over 60 people and installs, maintains, and manages EV chargers. ePower also installs solar panels for homes, businesses, and public infrastructure.
The company has been steadily growing, driven by increased interest in EVs and the Irish Government’s push towards decarbonisation. Mahony Fleet teamed up with ePower as our chosen EV partner earlier this year due to their expertise, continued growth in the EV sector, and expansive selection of products.
ePower CEO John O’Keefe welcomed the new investment as a “vote of confidence” in the company’s progress. At the same time, Impax’s Seán Maguire highlighted the need for significant capital to meet Ireland’s decarbonisation goals.
ePower is also involved in the government’s latest public EV charging rollout, expanding its infrastructure across multiple counties and motorway corridors.
Mahony Fleet is partnered with ePower to fit and supply our customers with EV Charging options, including Home EV Wall boxes and Company Car Chargers. The Company Car Charger option offers a centralised dashboard for transparency BIK purposes. This benefits companies whose drivers charge personal and company vehicles at home.
The dashboard differentiates between private charging, which is paid by the driver or their family members through their regular electricity bill, and business charging, which is paid by the company in place of a fuel card.
